Kamran Caan, a visionary leader in Coventry, is dedicated to creating a healthier, more vibrant community. As Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, he has been at the forefront of pioneering initiatives, including the celebrated European City of Sport 2019 and the innovative Wave water park, bringing new energy and excitement to the city. Having his team winning the LGC Award and winning multiple Local awards Asian Federation awards, Coventry Flower award, Asian Business Group and Asian sports club to name a few.

His commitment didn't waver during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he played a crucial role in steering public health policies. His leadership extended beyond health, and was directly on the frontline supporting food banks and our Local hospital as a registered Volunteer and supporting the staff and patients. Also as a trustee for the Coventry UK City of Culture, showcasing his passion for cultural enrichment and community development.

Kamran's vision for Coventry is not just about immediate solutions but about building a sustainable future. Supporting the 'A Tree for Every Citizen' project is a testament to this, aiming to enhance the city's green spaces for generations to come. He embodies the spirit of collaborative progress, striving to make Coventry a model city in terms of health, culture, and community wellbeing. Which included fitness in the Parks which has benefited 100,000’s in our community. Proudly starting the project with team GOCV app this now has over 100,000 members something of great pride for the city as it allows deprived communities the access to Leisure and Cultural assets at reduced cost with the stigmation of having a discount card etc.
